Seem so very distant

but so near; now here at last?

Lost in dazzling sunsets

shadows follow arm in arm

Lost in total darkness

Is it hope, sudden alarm?

Reading through your memories;

the novels in your mind

Wishing I had played a part

Instead I waited here confined

Was he what you wanted?

and now you've given up?

Or do you see a new hope rising

Will you drink from my heart's cup?
