 $MelissaE's Scoop
About me:
Please do not contact me about Support issues via the Social Center. If you have any problems, please contact support@redlightcenter.com. Thanks!
On another note, I ask that male users (or females as well, I guess) refrain from sexual requests from me or sexual comments regarding me via any form of communication be it in RLC, the Social Center, the forums, etc. I also ask that comments made on my profile or regarding any pictures remain tasteful. I will remove any sexually-explicit comments from my profile. I'm not trying to be a prude or anything, but I'm here for tech support only and I ask that any users be respectful of this. That and I don't really like being harrassed. ;)
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2006 with a B.A. in International Affairs. I've always held a very strong interest in world affairs and politics, so an IA degree just seemed like the most fun. Little did I know that writing 40 page papers is not so fun. :D Nah, it turned out to be a very enriching experience. I can now watch and read the news and understand 99.9% of what they're talking about... and then go into an hour long rant about how they don't really know what they're talking about and how every third comment someone makes on a newscast is damaging their credibility. It's fun!
I've taken a year off from school thus far and intend to take at most one more year before jumping into graduate school. I've got that nasty GRE to look forward to, so I'm psyching myself up. What am I going back to school for? I've gone back and forth between Political Science, Economics, International Business... Who freaking knows? I've been spending a lot of time reflecting on what would make me the happiest and I'm starting to close in on an answer-- ultimately I want to be an author... and all of my ideas for books... Well, they're probably boring, non-fiction to most people so I won't delve into it. Long rambling made short-- It looks like I may go back for Sociology or Religious Studies.
What that has to do with tech support... I have no idea. I actually do have a fairly broad technical background, so it makes sense for me to be in the IT industry.
The non-work stuff: I play a lot of video games. World of Warcraft, the Final Fantasy series, Halo. I also cherish my original NES and enjoy a good game of Duck Hunt. Much of my spare time is also spent reading. I'm not allowing myself into another book store until I read all the books I have, which will probably take until I'm 40.
End ramble.
Since people keep proclaiming their love for me...
Who I'd like to meet:
Your mom.

And unfortunately if we jumped in a time machine and went back 10 years, you'd find I was, indeed, a teenybopper. I Mmmbopped with the best of the 12 and 13 year olds. ;)
Movies:
The Godfather, Office Space, Closer, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Star Wars, The Bourne Identity/Supremacy, Napoleon Dynamite, V For Vendetta, Simply Irresistible (Terrible movie.. but it has a magic crab!!!), Gattaca, I Heart Huckabees, Memento, Amelie, The Good Girl, Moulin Rouge
Anyone that knows me well can tell you... I also have an intense love for really terrible movies. So add to the list... Garfield, The Lizzie McGuire Movie (cause she has a cool dress that turns into a skirt!!), Kate & Leopold... You name the bad movie and I probably like it as long as it isn't some crappy horror movie.
Books:
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs
On Desire: Why We Want What We Want
Phantom of the Opera
Harry Potter (shut up.)
The Culture of Fear
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Buddhism Is Not What You Think
I own far too many books. If anyone wants to buy me a second bookcase, I'd be down with that because the one I have is full and I've got a couple stacks of books sitting next to it looking all sad. Aww. Poor books.
